I'm Mikayla, an aspiring graphic designer, illustrator, and muralist! Graphic design is more than a degree or a job to me, it is my passion and my joy. I put 110% into my projects because I believe my work reflects my character. As a natural leader I often gravitate towards positions of responsibility, and in the leadership opportunities John Brown University has provided, I have further developed my ability to mediate conflicts, work with a team, and exceed expectations and deadlines. I easily commit myself to design, because creativity is the core of my being. I cannot remember a time in my life where art was not my love, and I hope to utilize my abilities in every opportunity that comes my way!
When I'm not working on projects you'll find me anywhere from hiking up glaciers to snorkeling in the Bahamas to parasailing over the ocean! My goal is to enjoy every instance, create memories that I can proudly look back on, and experience the crazy moments of life (moments like getting licked by a wild iguana - true story!) I love chasing thrills in all aspects of life, whether I'm actively exploring the country or trying my hand at anything new. Because I am naturally competitive, I never back down from a challenge, which means I often end up laughing at the situations I get into. I believe laughter is an important part of life, and it's rare that you won't find me with a willing smile and ready chuckle.
I will bring my excitement and positivity into any work environment, and standing ten inches taller than the national average I will, at the very least, be able to bring my top-shelf-reaching abilities wherever I go!
